Vermiculite Fireplace Panel: Format, Cutting and Support

Vitcas Vermiculite Fire Board for documented insulation applications

When replacing a panel in the fireplace, the entire detail is important, not just the outline of the old fragment. You need to know the material intended for the insert, its thickness, and how it is set. Start with the device instructions and cold layout photos before ordering a sheet for cutting.

Reproduce the correct size

Record the dimensions of the space, installation direction, and method of holding the panel. A worn edge may not show the original dimension. Also check the required clearances near adjacent elements; a tight fit does not always mean correct installation.

Vermiculite Fire Board is a vermiculite board with the described insulating applications, resistant up to 1100°C. The datasheet indicates indoor conditions or appropriately shielded conditions. Selection for a specific fireplace must comply with the requirements of its lining.

Cut from the plan of the entire sheet

Before cutting, mark all elements and openings on the drawing. Take into account tools and the product safety data sheet requirements. A carefully prepared plan reduces accidental, very narrow fragments where the panel needs the intended support.

Ceramic Fibre Board is a different insulating board. Do not choose a substitute only based on available thickness or the higher temperature in its name. Compare the purpose, structure, and installation method suitable for the specific location.

Check the installation before use

Fit the panel without fire and evaluate the entire edge. Apply the fastening method described for the device instead of selecting any adhesive from the leftovers. The new component should maintain the equipment removal path and the required access for operation.

Record the board variant, thickness, and arrangement. After the required preparation and use, compare the cold panel with the previous photo. In the next order, you will more easily reproduce the confirmed format, without guessing the size from a damaged piece removed from the firebox.
